- Back outside to play
- Felt like my eyes were closing and I was going to throw up
- Decided to blog about my day that felt like I was doing a lot but really didn’t end up accomplishing much in
Oh well, the day is young. Perhaps I will accomplish something soon. I have been dreaming about making cute tags to put on the boys bins that are in the big shelves in their room. I did this in their school room bins and they love it and I loved making them. Got to get out all my fun edged scissors, my card stocks, stickers, etc. But that’s ‘fun work’, not real work. And when you have no clean spoons in the house, you gotta go with the dirty work first. Unfortunately.

My in-laws have given us the most amazing offer! They are in need of a queen sized bed for their new guest room (BIL graduated college and moved out on his own). We have a queen sized bed but it’s rather cramped….. while we don’t practice co-sleeping full time, we do usually end up with at least one kid in our bed every other night. Sometimes there are two in our bed! Now that is 4 people in a queen sized bed. Even if two of them are quite small, it’s still cramped. Especially when one insists on sleeping diagonally (the bigger little one). So anyway, they said instead of them buying a brand new queen sized bed, how about we give them ours and they buy us a KING! MIL can get a great deal on beds through her work, and she has ordered us a great king sized bed!
Last night as I was laying in bed having my pregnancy induced insomnia (dang it, I’m so tired - why can’t I sleep?!?!) I was thinking about all of the things we would need for a new bed! A frame, a mattress pad, a duvet or bedspread, sheets, bigger blankets, etc. I was thinking the linens will be perfect to get ourselves for Christmas (practical, so I will feel like the money wasn’t spent on nothingness). One of these days I’d love new bedroom furniture as well. There are so many options to choose from — classic, modern, antique, contemporary bedroom furniture. In the mean time, I guess it doesn’t matter, because we’ll be on a bigger mattress, and I might not have to sleep curled in a ball in the left hand bottom corner of the bed!

I am using one of our old dining room chairs for my computer chair. This particular chair has one of the rungs missing out of the back, which is why it’s not at the table. Before that we were using a padded folding chair. I have no idea why we’ve never invested in a nice desk chair. It’s not like the rest of our office furniture is crappy. In fact we have a very nice corner computer desk. I think after Christmas this is one of the things I will start to save for.

Have you seen these Lego advertisement photos yet? When I first saw them it was like I was warped back in time. I adored playing Legos with my brother. Oh, the things we would build! And in our minds, they looked so real! What a simple, yet brilliant advertisement!
