The kids were eating breakfast and I was reading a library book to them as we do most mornings. (They’re a captive audience when they’re eating or in their beds!) And we were reading this hysterical book about Millie the cow and the boys are all laughing and Forest all the sudden gets silent and blurts out “So Mommy, who do you think is going to win, Obama or John McCain?” I almost fell out of my chair. “Where did you hear about that honey?” I asked and he says “Oh, I just hear it around. You know.”

If I Wasn’t Already in Love…

…. with this kid, it’s safe to say I definitely would be after last night! In the middle of the night Warrior was in bed with me and kept saying he needed ‘mess-inn” (medicine) because he was sick. I asked him what was wrong and he kept groggily pointing at his leg. I finally figured out he had a leg ache or cramp so I started rubbing his leg for him. After a minute or two of this he reached up with both of his hands and placed one of them on each of my cheeks and said “Mommy, you’re cute!”. Okay, seriously, he wins!!!!
TV’s

Someday when we get a new TV, I want an lcd mount. It would be so nice to have it right on the wall. You wouldn’t have to worry about kids touching it and pressing buttons, leaving finger prints, etc. Not to mention what a space saver it would be. Right now we have a console television. But wait, it’s not as old as you might think. I bought it at auction (ahhh, I love auction! I haven’t been to one since the kiddos came along though) of an elderly woman’s estate. Her children said she had it special made because she hated the look of the ‘new’ televisions (flatter). So it isn’t a super old TV, just made to look that way. BTW, my Grandma loves it.
And I Just Want A….

One of the things we have to get before the baby gets here, that probably should have topped my list last week, was get another vehicle. Right now we just have a car. Which would be perfect except I will have three carseats in the back seat. Even with our large sized car, that’s just not going to work. We have been diligently saving, and Luke’s aunt is selling her van in May. It seems to be in the right price, and condition. Only thing is, she winters in Florida, so we can’t give it the go-over until May. Kind of pushing it. But it’s a great deal, so…… ya know. Some people want chrome accessories and punked out paint jobs. I just want to be able to fit all my children in a car. (When I say that, it so sounds like a I have a dozen children, doesn’t it? lol)
