You all know I might have a little addiction to getting a good deal. I may or may not have been up at midnight making my shopping list and gathering my coupons together last night. I absolutely do not have a bargain sickness or anything though, so don’t fret.
So today I got $65.91 in merchandise, including 2 bottles of Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner, 2 bottles of Pantene Expressions shampoo and conditioner, Pantene hair spray, Loreal Anti-wrinkle concentrate, 1 Oral-B toothbrush, 3 bottles of Crest Pro-Health mouthwash, 1 tube Crest toothpaste, and 1 pkg. of Luvs diapers (don’t shoot me - I’m trying to do cloth, but it’s harder with 3!).
I used $17.50 worth of coupons.
At the end of the month, I will get:
$10 Rite-Aid giftcard
Rebate check for $35.99
Which means my out of pocket spending today was a whopping $2.42!
Seriously, could it get any better? I gave my aunt who’s fallen on some hard times the L’oreal Anti-Wrinkle Concentrate because she’s been wanting to try it, and one of the mouthwashes. The other day I was able to give her a shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, men’s bodywash, and a tube of toothpaste. She was so grateful. You should have seen her face when I said it didn’t cost me a penny.

I got these sock at The Children’s Place when Fancy Cheeks was but a tiny jumping bean in-utero. They came as a set of 5 pairs, all different colors. I couldn’t wait until she could wear them. It seemed forever away. She can wear them now. I adore her fancy toes, but I do mourn the fact that she is already big enough to wear them. Time flies. Soon her feet will be flying too, as she bounces around the house.

As of late, life has been busy. Much busier and crazier than usual. And I long for the normalcy that every-day life entails. Hanging out the laundry sounds like a luxury I would love to enjoy.
But most off all during times like these, my heart pines to just stop and watch my children. I love to sit back and just watch them *be*. I love the way that Warrior’s imagination just seeps out from every fiber of his being. How he ‘talks’ his cars, his plastic bugs and dinos, and even flowers. Every item in this world has a world of their own, and he is the creator of it. I love to watch Forest run and jump and kick his balls, and throw his Frisbee with all of his might. I love how he attacks life with 110%. I love that he’s been practicing Soccer since the day I even barely mentioned it last Spring. I love to watch Fancy Cheeks take in life. When something is especially fascinating, such as a brightly colored cup, her little eyes squint into such a serious expression and little lips become pursed into a little ‘O’, as she waves her arms and legs wildly.
Watching my children just being themselves is truly my greatest treasure. Sometimes I have to stop and remind myself that is okay, even mandatory, to take a break from life and do this. And when I do, I close my eyes and snap mental photographs of these moments, so I can cherish them forever.

Mine doesn’t. But my husband does. It’s one thing that is definitely on our ‘We want to eventually buy….’ list. You already know that from my previous posts regarding the 5 Minutes for Mom contest going on. Tonight while surfing buy.com, I saw this Gateway laptop that is on sale for $529.99 shipped. I’d wager that’s a pretty amazing deal for all the features this baby boasts. When imagining a price in my head for that type of laptop, I was thinking somewhere around the $750 range, so I’m pretty impressed. I honestly would not have thought to buy a Gateway at anywhere other than Gateways’ website, so I am pretty impressed to learn that you can buy brand name computers at Buy.com, where the deals are always rocking. Especially their weekly sale page! Keep this in mind when searching for a laptop or desktop computer!

PS: My husband came in here and started reading over my shoulder. He asked to see the buy.com page and then declared that it’s a “heckuva deal!”. So there you have it folks, it’s officially a deal!

- (Well, I guess I’m kind of bullet happy today, aren’t I?! Haha, actually, that is a bad joke. You need to be here to understand.)
- I officially have all my pregnancy weight off. I lost it all immediately, but gained a few pounds back when I could start eating again. So I’ve had those 5 extra pounds with me that I’ve been working hard to get rid of. I really haven’t been eating that great, but chasing 3 little ones around is like having your own exercise equipment.
- I need prayer for the situation I meant the other day. It’s resulting in some VERY chaotic things that have been literally all-consuming my life and my family’s lives. I can’t go into details, but it is serious.
- My husband starts school tomorrow. I am not ready for it.
- I celebrated my seventh wedding anniversary. Unfortunately with all the chaos, I plumb forgot about it until about noon. I’m glad I remembered so I could get him a card. No time for celebrations though with all the work that needed done. But I do love him, now more than ever. He’s done amazing things for my family and I and never complained.
- Other than him, I have three things that keep me smiling:
