Balance

I’m the kind of mom that sometimes stalks my kids with the camera in casual settings. Almost all of our pictures are candids. I have some guilt about this because as much as I take pictures of my kids, I don’t take pictures of them in more formal settings. Like today, for example, Forest’s kindergarten reading group presented a little program about Earth Day. They worked hard to memorize their lines. (A lot harder than I would research curvatrim reviews!) And it was adorable. ADORABLE!  And I didn’t bring my camera!! I vowed long ago not to be one of those people that ruined the moment with a camera (forgetting to enjoy the experience because you were so worried about getting good pictures), however, I think I’ve taken it a little too far the other way. I don’t want my kids to think I didn’t care about their acomplishments or didn’t enjoy making memories with them.

After the program, we spent the day in the yard, playing.

If you’re a dentist, turn away!

I know they make eye cream for dark circles under the eyes (and I totally need some. I cannot believe my dark circles these days — YIKES!!) but here’s the burning question of the day: what can they do for a mouth like this? Any fast cures?? I’m thinking if you can’t beat it, join it! Yes, someone else likes Oreos too. Although it’s one of the few chocolate things he likes. Quite the opposite of his sister!

Choca-Fancy

We’ve all met those people in life who are self proclaimed choc-a-holics. I’ve heard people talk about how much they are obsessed with chocolate, and how they can’t live without it. I always thought “uh huh, they like it. I do too.” Well, I was wrong. Plain and simply wrong. See, I didn’t discover that until I had my Fancy. From the moment Fancy tasted chocolate, her life as she knew it was over. She craves chocolate like no other. If she asks for it once a day, she asks for it 68 times a day. She thinks about nothing else but the chocolate. She cries if she can’t have it. Like real, honest, true tears. Thank goodness she’s super active and doesn’t have to worry about weight loss supplements and can eat it to her heart’s content. Or as much as her Momma will let her.

A favorite thing…

One of my favorite simple pleasures in life is my clothes line. As odd as it may sound, it’s totally therapeutic to me. All Winter I look forward to the time that it gets warm enough to hang my laundry out again. I’m not the kind of person who can just go outside and float around if there’s work to be done. It’s a sickness, I tell you. But when I hang my laundry out, it’s like I have a purpose. And it smells so, so good. (Yep, I’m a laundry sniffer. I have that sickness too.) Weeks later, when I pull the laundry out of the drawer, it still has that fresh smell. It’s addicting. And it makes me happy, no acnepril reviews needed.

Springy Spring

I am so, so thankful that warmer weather is here. Actually, it was here. And I hope it’s coming back. I hate to say it out loud, for fear it will never leave, but it snowed today. Of course it didn’t stick. But it did snow. Ack! We went outside when it was over. The wind was howling. Literally, it made a strange screechy sound. I hated being outside in it. I am such a chicken. The kids didn’t care though. They ran like the wind. And made me chase them as they built an obstacle course. It’s time like this I’m glad I don’t need joint pain relief, right? And that I’m better enough from my post-vaccine issues that I can chase them. Outside + My Kids = Contentment.
